Lead Engineer

As a Lead Engineer, you will work in a client-facing role to design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain the critical IT infrastructure that our clients rely on.  You will also identify, research, respond to, and resolve complex technical problems and participate in the design and implementation of new solutions to make the environments even better.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work directly with managed services clients to lead their IT environments to a balance of functionality and security
  • Document environments, backed by some of the industry’s top monitoring solutions
  • Provide general support to all clients as needed
  • Provide escalation support for Service Desk and Managed Services incidents, service requests, and changes
  • Ensure recurring / preventative maintenance plans are defined and implemented for managed services customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills

  • 3-5 years’ experience working with servers, networks, desktops, laptops, and troubleshooting networked environments
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Active Directory, software installation/removal, data backups/restores, antivirus/firewalls/security, Internet/networking/wireless connectivity
  • Experience with remote access, UPS’s, print servers and printer maintenance and repair
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Prior communication with C+ level executives a plus
  • Resourceful in getting things done, self-starter, productive working independently or collaboratively – ours is a fast-pace entrepreneurial environment with performance expectations and deadlines
