Citrix System Engineer

Location: South Bend, IN

Position Overview

As a Citrix System Engineer, you will build, deploy, monitor, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot daily remote access technologies (primarily Citrix). You will manage our clients Citrix systems and be responsible for taking care of all the administration tools in the Citrix environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, supporting, maintaining, and deploying Citrix virtualization technologies
  • Onboarding clients, documenting environments, and setting up monitoring and alerts
  • Ensuring stable performance through performance monitoring and tuning
  • Analyzing system operating efficiencies and capacity and recommending measures to improve performance and cost effectiveness
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance in areas of managing and performance-tuning Citrix systems, networks and applications to ensure high levels of availability and security for supported applications
  • Ensuring recurring / preventative maintenance plans are defined and implemented for managed services customers
  • Working directly with managed services clients to assist in managing IT environments; providing Tier 3 escalation support for Service Desk and Managed Services incidents, service requests, and changes
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience and strong skills in supporting Server / Application / Desktop Virtualization technologies (VMWare, Citrix) and Large-Scale environments; certification is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
  • Experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Systems Administration, preferably including Citrix Provisioning Services and Citrix ADC
  • Experience managing Cloud, on Premise and Hybrid Citrix environments
  • Experience running a Citrix environment hosted on a VMware platform
  • Experience with FedRAMP standards and FIPs Compliance as it relates to Citrix deployments
  • Experience in Office 365 Administration, preferably including Active Directory, Group Policy and Patch Management
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Prior communication with C+ level executives a plus
